Sarah Hamelin, LICSW & Owner

Sarah Hamelin is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and the owner of Pause Wellness Center. She earned her BS in Human Development from Wheelock College and her MSW from Boston College. Sarah is passionate about helping people better understand, accept, and express their emotions in healthy and meaningful ways. In her work, she also takes a behavioral lens, helping clients recognize patterns, develop insight into their behaviors, and create lasting change through intentional action. As a practice owner, Sarah is committed to providing exceptional care for clients while fostering a supportive and healthy work environment for employees, believing that quality client care begins with a strong and valued team.

Sarah Tilton, LCSW

Sarah holds a masters degree in social work from Baylor University. Her experience has allowed her to work with individuals of all ages in a variety of settings such as emergency departments, cancer centers, foster care, and school-based counseling services. She is a level two Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and additionally holds a certification in Integrated Behavioral Health. Sarah takes an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing various modalities such as dialectical behavior therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, as well as various play and art therapy techniques in both individual and group sessions. Sarah believes in creating an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment for her clients where they can work toward their therapeutic goals. She has worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, self-acceptance and self-image challenges, life transitions, ADHD, as well as autistic individuals. Sarah enjoys helping people explore their mind-body connection and process through how various aspects of their experiences and identity have and are impacting their wellbeing and goals. Sarah prioritizes creating a space where people feel supported and validated as well as challenged to see how their own defenses are getting in the way of their wellbeing. In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, reading, and trying new recipes (with varying levels of success)

Kathryn Portnow, M.eD, Ed.D

Kathryn has extensive training in developmental and lifespan psychology deepening her understanding of the many transitions and challenges adults face. She holds a doctoral degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College, with a specialization in holistic counseling and older adult mental health. Kathryn is a certified grief educator trained by grief expert, David Kessler. She co-moderates a specific loss group for his online grief community, Tender Hearts. Kathryn enjoys working with adults ranging in age from young adults to elders. She counsels people who struggle with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, transition and phase of life issues, relationship problems, attachment and relational trauma. A deep clinical interest is helping adults navigate their own and their loved ones’ later life challenges associated with aging such as: multiple losses, changes in important relationships, caregiver stress, and changing family roles. Kathryn is also passionate about working with and helping people struggling with grief and loss. She is experienced supporting those with parental loss, spousal loss, and loss of a loved one by long-term illness, cancer, and/or dementia A believer in compassionate and deep listening, Kathryn works collaboratively helping clients to identify their goals and work toward meeting them in a way that honors their unique strengths. Kathryn values the holistic relationship between mind, body, and emotions and integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches. She believes in an individual’s potential to grow and change across the lifespan.

Catherine Johnson Streitman, MA

Catherine has a Masters in Science from Northeastern University in Applied Behavioral Analysis, as well as a Masters in Counseling from Framingham State University. She is working towards her licensure as an LMHC. Catherine has a decade in the field of mental health with experiences ranging from inpatient level of care, to intensive outpatient group programs, as well as in-home individual therapy and outpatient individual therapy. Catherine worked for 5 years implementing behavioral early interventions for children and adolescents on the Autism spectrum, and then switched her focus to adult mental health. Catherine has worked with adolescent and adult clients (and their families) who are struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidality, PTSD and trauma, and substance use. Her lens for therapy is holistic, in that she works with the “whole” person; emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally. Catherine utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed therapies, as well as Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness based techniques. She is a firm believer that warmth, connection, humor and vulnerability are must haves to form a therapeutic relationship.

Jillian Kastal, LICSW

Jillian is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and holds a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons College in Boston. She has spent the past 10+ years working in a variety of mental health settings including residential care, emergency services, crisis stabilization, applied behavior analysis, and outpatient individual/family therapy. Jillian has extensive experience helping a diverse range of populations including those struggling with severe mental illness, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, substance use, depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, suicidality, and impulse control disorders. She specializes in working with children/adolescents, families, and young adults but enjoys serving people of all ages. Jillian has a wealth of knowledge in various levels of care and additional treatment options in the community. She deeply values the importance of the therapeutic relationship and providing a non-judgmental environment for her clients to feel as supported as possible. Along with this approach, she ensures that the use of evidence-based practices is tailored to the unique needs of each person she works with. Jillian utilizes CBT, family systems, trauma narrative therapy, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy. She strives to help her clients develop new thinking patterns, strengthen their relationships, and build skills to effectively manage difficult emotions as well as situations. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her 2 cats, hiking, and exploring different restaurants.

Brigitte “B” Manseau, MA

Brigitte (she/her) graduated from Assumption University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is currently pursuing licensure as an LMHC. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and suicidality. Additionally, Brigitte enjoys working with LGBTQIA+ youth and adults including individuals who are questioning their gender and/or sexuality. She has worked in community mental health, school-based, LGBTQIA+ youth program, and town youth and family agency settings. Brigitte works with individuals to explore challenging emotions and thoughts, identify unhelpful patterns, build resilience, and promote a greater sense of well-being. Brigitte utilizes various evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, MI), mindfulness, relational work, and play therapy. She has found that a sense of humor goes a long way during difficult times. Brigitte’s goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space for you to feel listened to and supported, as well as empowered to reach your goals. In her spare time, Brigitte enjoys spending time with her loved ones, listening to music, and checking out local eateries.

Lisa Marchese, MA

Lisa holds a master’s degree in counseling from Bridgewater State University and brings over thirteen years of experience working closely with clients across the lifespan as a physical therapist. Her background in both physical and mental health gives her a holistic understanding of the connection between mind and body, and how emotional experiences can manifest in physical ways. Lisa’s approach is compassionate and collaborative. She meets each person where they are, creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment. Together, she helps clients build insight, develop practical coping skills, and make meaningful, lasting change. She has experience supporting individuals navigating OCD (including ERP plans), anxiety, depression, and grief. Lisa is also dedicated to holding space for challenges that are often overlooked but deeply impactful, such as perinatal struggles, difficult medical diagnoses, and caregiving responsibilities. Drawing from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and Rogerian therapy, Lisa combines evidence-based strategies with empathy and authenticity. Her goal is to help clients strengthen their resilience, self-compassion, and sense of agency as they move through life’s transitions. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys day trips with her family, painting, and spending time with her dog.

Kaplan Hasanoglu

Kaplan has a PhD in Philosophy and an MA in Mental Health Counseling, which allows him to take a philosophically informed existentialist approach to counseling that incorporates various aspects of cognitive-behavioral, relational-cultural, and person-centered therapy. Kaplan believes that therapy is a space where we can explore what it means to live authentically. His goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways so they can move toward the life they want to live. He sees counseling as a collaborative process, and he is honored to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing and growth.

Jane Campion, LCSW

Jane Campion is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with a strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach. She specializes in creative, expressive forms of healing, often incorporating art as a powerful intervention for emotional and psychological well-being. Jane integrates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and remains committed to continuous learning in her clinical practice. As both a clinician and local artist, she honors each client's unique cultural narrative and works collaboratively to support resilience, expression, and transformation. Jane earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Westfield State College and her Master of Social Work from Springfield College. Her diverse professional background includes work in hospital medicine, crisis intervention, and community mental health, serving children, elders, and marginalized populations. She has extensive experience supporting individuals with dual diagnoses, substance use disorders, history of sexual exploitation, homelessness, and complex childhood trauma. Jane partners with her clients to build resilience, restore safety, and nurture transformation through compassionate, individualized care.
